Ceiling bubble is watching you shower.
We have a full scale water blister1 in our bathroom. It’s situated right above the shower head, and drips cold, stained water on us when we stand in the shower.
The exact cause is unknown. The woman upstairs immediately called her landlord when we told her about it on Saturday. A plumber was dispatched, and due to arrive “within the hour”. He turned up a day later, smelling of beer, and told the woman upstairs that it was probably just splashes from getting out of the bath.
Yes, he actually said that. Our neighbour hadn’t seen the extent of the bubble at this point, so she didn’t have much evidence to argue with. Now she has photos of the bubble as it has grown over the past few days (and it’s now about 40cm across). A different plumber is coming today.

I don’t really know what they’re called, but “water blister” seems a good description. It’s a skin of paint being slowly filled — and stretched — by water seeping in from the other side. ↩
